Villa Givera is located 1km far from Giannoudi, a small village at an altitude of 110m with 96 residents. At the entrance of the village there is an imposing tower, while the elementary school of the village which was built in 1929 is currently used by residents as a Cultural Centre. Moreover,

Villa Givera offers easy access to Amari plain with the impressive Patsos Gorge (14km) and the Potami Dam Lake (18km). Visitors can also explore the Gorge of Mili (4km), the Monastery of Arkadi (17km), the archaeological site of ancient Eleftherna (22km), Margarites village (26km) and many other traditional Cretan villages.

In addition, a stroll through the narrow alleys of the picturesque old town of Rethymnon is really worthwhile. The Venetian port and fortress are the landmarks of the town and their imposing location gives Rethymnon a special charm. The 5km long sandy beach of Rethymnon is an ideal destination for a short getaway. Finally, there are many different routes you can take to discover the beauties of the area and the amazingness of the whole island of Crete (E4 paths, cycling routes, rock climbing routes, walking rides, routes with car or motorbike, etc).
